Fun fact: If you are Honduran, you do not say the traditional word hondureño to describe your nationality. You would typically say that you are catracho(a) as in la chica catracha. Nobody I asked knew why this is, but I found it odd considering catracho sounds nothing like the word Honduras. According to a random Yahoo blogger/Wikipedia (don't question this), this word derives from the famous general Florencio Xatruch who led a Honduran army against the filibustering William Walker in the early 1800's.
